We sincerely appreciate the support of these restaurants and the entire community! We hope you will come join us for some delicious food and the opportunity to learn more about Davidson Housing Coalition if you wish. Metrolina Greenhouses is a wholesale plant and services provider headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1972 by Tom and Vickie Van Wingerden and remains family-owned today. This local business has played a key role in the development of the community of Huntersville and the surrounding area; from hiring close to 1,000 local people annually to supporting local organizations working for good in our community, Metrolina continues to give back to our area. Metrolina’s key to success has been leading their industry, both in end-product quality and innovative, sustainable growing practices, in order to provide their customers with high-quality plants and services.

Did you know?
-The Huntersville location of Metrolina is the largest single-site greenhouse in the United States, with over 162 acres of heated indoor space and 16 acres of outdoor growing areas.
-Metrolina’s products can be found in garden centers from New Jersey to Georgia to Ohio.
-Over 90,000,000 cuttings and seedlings are used annually to produce a plethora of flowers sold in bedding flats, hanging baskets, and basic/premium containers at Metrolina’s facilities.
– The Huntersville location has three rainwater and runoff-water retention ponds (holding a total of 150 million gallons) that supply all of the company’s growing needs and result in a 100% closed-loop water cycle, demonstrating Metrolina’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Thank you, Metrolina Greenhouses, for supporting Davidson Housing Coalition for 8 years!
