Because all of US are in this together, DHC has joined with the Charlotte region as a CARE3 site.
In June 2010, in partnership with Charlotte Works, DHC became a CARE3 site (Community Access to Resources that Engage, Empower, Employ), which is a job search assistance center.
Our CARE3 coordinator provides clients with:
- One-on-one job search consultation
- Resume writing
- A computer with online access to job listings
- Interview etiquette preparation
Many of our clients do not have transportation to drive into Charlotte to look for jobs, so we joined in with Charlotte Works to provide our clients with the ability to not only search for work, but to prepare for it. If our clients do not have appropriate clothing for an interview, we help them find stores or programs that provide clothing. If they have never gone through an interview, or simply wish to polish up their skills, we will offer them a mock interview process.
We support and encourage the efforts of our clients, so they know that they are not alone in their quest for work.
Since 2010, DHC has worked with more than 450 individuals of all ages and ethnicities from North Mecklenburg, Mooresville, and Charlotte.
