Save the date for the most popular culinary cook-off around Lake Norman – it’s the annual Davidson Housing Coalition “Souper Bowl” to be held on Saturday, March 10th. As many as ten area restaurants will be serving delicious soup creations to attendees from 11 am to 1:30 pm in the Lilly Family Gallery of Chambers Building on the Davidson College Campus.
Based on their soup samplings, patrons will be invited to vote for their favorites in several categories – Best Chunky, Best Creamy, Best Farm to Spoon, Best Vegetarian and Most Creative. All soups are also eligible for the Best Overall title. Award winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event. Additionally, patrons can bid for unique works by local artists in a silent auction, enjoy dessert from area bakeries, and listen to musical performances by several area musicians. Visit our Facebook page in the coming weeks to stay up to date on the latest event details.
Davidson Housing Coalition is now recruiting restaurants interested in participating, businesses interested in sponsoring the event, and artists able to donate a piece for the silent auction. To participate, contact Livesey Pack, Development Coordinator at (704)892-4486 or [email protected]
